The Sindh government has constituted a screening committee for assessing suitability of the employees/officials of Excise and Taxation (E&T) Department terminated in the year 1995.
The appointment of these employees were reportedly made without clearance/recommendations of the departmental selection committee.
To be headed by the Excise and Taxation secretary, the Committee will include Additional Secretary (Services), Sindh Director (General) Excise and Taxation, , and Sindh Finance deputy secretary as members.
The terms of reference of the Committee are: to assess the suitability of such employees/officials, and recommend whether any employee/official (whose services were terminated) is fit to be reinstated and retained in service.
