The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed references against three members of the Cabinet, namely Faisal Saleh Hayat, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and Rana Nazir Ahmed.
In a written reply, Minister Incharge of Prime Minister's Secretariat, Raza Hayat Haraj, told the Senate on Friday that the cases against (Faisal) interior minister, (Sherpao) minister for water and power and (Rana) advisor to the prime minister were under trial in NAB courts.
He said that Sherpao was acquitted in five cases. He was accused of misuse of authority and corruption and corrupt practices. Likewise, the case against Faisal, who had allegedly committed wilful default, was under prosecution.
Rana Nazir faced cases of misuse of authority and assets beyond known sources.
