Indian occupation police have arrested a suspected freedom fighter in New Delhi with a cache of explosives days ahead of the Republic Day celebrations, a report said on Friday.
The suspected freedom fighter, believed to belong to the Hizb-e-Islami group, was captured late on Thursday with 3.5 kilograms of explosives, the Press Trust of India news agency said.
Police were questioning the man who was allegedly planning to launch an attack to disturb the celebrations marking India's 55th anniversary as a republic.
