Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has reduced fixed circuit charges by 17 percent to facilitate mobile phone companies to bring down their tariffs.
Talking to newsmen at the inaugural ceremony of a free Internet facility at University of Central Punjab here on Saturday, Federal Information Technology and Telecommunications Minister, Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari said that it was now the responsibility of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to persuade mobile companies to bring down their tariff.
He said that the mobile companies were now in a position to reduce their charges by 5-6 percent.
