Uplift work to be completed before end of current year

Gul Muhammad Rind, Managing Director, Sindh Industrial Estates, has said that all development work in industrial areas would be completed before the current financial year runs out.
He was speaking at a reception arranged in his honour by the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Saturday.
He said that the tenders and work orders for the development work including repair and construction of roads in industrial areas have already been issued under the directive of President General Pervez Musharraf who is taking keen interest in the development of industrial sector in the country.
Gul Mohammad Rind said that for the extension of Hyderabad Industrial Estates and establishment of Export Processing Zone (EPZ) 1300 acres of land will be acquired shortly.
He said that Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali has, in principle, approved the project and directed the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry to send the provisional plan of the project.
Gul said that for the extension of Nooriabad Industrial Estates 2000 acres of land has already been acquired while funds for Sindh Industrial Estate Ltd Nawabshah has been allocated three times but work has not been carried out.
He said that he has decided to visit Hyderabad every month to personally look up the problems of industrial community and ensure that they are being solved and development is in progress.
Rind said that henceforth under one-window facilities industrialists of Hyderabad would be provided facilities for approval of building designs, NOC for Bank, Change of Trade and lease deed registration at Hyderabad.
He said that the decision with regard to transfer fee of plots in industrial area would be taken shortly.
Earlier, Emad Siddique, President Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcoming the guest, pointed out various problems being faced by the industrial community.
