The Lahore High Court was informed here on Tuesday that some Khan Research Laboratory (KRL) employees were being interrogated and would be freed if not found guilty.
Tariq Shamim, Advocate who appeared on behalf of the State here on Tuesday said that Mansur Ahmed has already been released and the rest would be freed if charges were not proved against them within a few days.
They would be reinstated on their jobs if they were found innocent, the prosecution lawyer added.
LHC Judge Rawalpindi Bench Maulvi Anwar-ul-Haq had issued notices the State following the hearing of Habeas Corpus writ petitions filed on behalf of six employees of KRL last week.
Later, the Judge adjourned the hearing till Wednesday.
The petitioners Brig. Sajawal (Retd.), Brig. Tajwar (Retd), Dr Abdul Majid, Nasim-uddin, Islam-ul-Haq, Staff Officer had stated in their petitions that they had been arrested forcibly and without any warrants and should be released immediately.
