GTR installs road safety signs

General Tyre and Rubber Company (GTR) has installed 50 traffic road safety signs on Sharea Faisal, from Hotel Metropole to Sindhi Muslim Society.
In a statement, Managing Director GTR, Haroon Ahmed Zuberi said that the road safety situation in Pakistan was a cause of great concern as thousands of precious lives lost each year in road accidents.
Taking cognisance of this grave issue, GTR has taken the initiative to create awareness among the drivers to follow traffic safety rules, he explained.
In view of high incidents of traffic-related casualties in the country, he underlined the need to take effective steps in this direction.
He stated that traffic signs always played an important role in reminding the drivers as well as pedestrians to take necessary precautions.
He observed that educating the drivers on traffic rules and regulations was very important and crucial to reduce the high rate of road accidents in the country.
EDO, Transport and Communication, CDGK, Dr Tahir Soomro also supported the initiative of GTR to install road safety/direction signs in Karachi.
