SASF executive committee meeting on January 31

The delegations will be due here from Thursday for Saturday's executive committee meeting of South Asian Sports Federation, that will give all clear to 9th SAF games in the Pakistan capital.
Under the SASF constitution, it is mandatory to hold the executive committee meeting, once before and once during the regional SAF (South Asian Federation) games.
The 9th edition of the SAF Games is scheduled to be held in Islamabad from March 29 to April 7.
The SASF executive will hold its Saturday's meeting at the local hotel.
"Some delegations are due on Thursday and the others on Friday," according to Colonel Mujtaba, the Director Media of the 9th SAF Games Secretariat.
Randhir Singh and Suresh Kalmadi will be at the head of a 9-strong Indian delegation to the meeting.
The respective olympic associations have named the delegation members of all the seven participating countries for the meeting, which will review the preparations for the games.
India's 9-member delegation will be the biggest to the meeting.
Randhir Singh, who will be at the head of the Indian delegation, is the Secretary General of OCA. Suresh Kalmadi, the President of National Olympic Committee of India, will also be in the delegation.
Other members of the delegation are: Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Vice President IOA, Avinash Kohli, Vice President IOA, Mohammad Aslam Khan, Vice President IOA, R. K Anand, Associate Vice President, Raja K. S. Sidhu, Secretary Punjab Olympic Association, Salahuddin Aziz Qureshi and Shilpi Shakt Saxena.
Member International Olympic Committee Syed Shahid, who will also chair the meeting in his capacity as acting President SASF, will lead Pakistan's delegation.
Other members named on the Pakistan delegation are: Mohammed Latif Butt, Secretary General Pakistan Olympic Association, S. H. Shah, Treasurer POA and Mohammed Nawaz Kasuri, Advisor POA.
Rukma Shamsher Rana, President of National Olympic Committee of Nepal and Anil P. Sharma, Executive Member NOC, will be the two representatives of that country in the meeting while Dhruba Kumar Chhetri will be the lone representative from Bhutan.
Abdul Saboor Azizi and Syed Zakray Nasar will be the two representatives of Afghanistan while Hemasiri Fernando (President NOC) and H. U. Silva (Secretary General) will speak on behalf of Sri Lanka.
The Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association, Zafar Imam, will be the representative of that country.
The SAF Games Secretariat is funding the sum of Rs 150 million required for the games from its own sources as also from the sponsors. It is also financing the training abroad of a number of Pakistani teams for the 15 SAF Games disciplines.
