Security tightened in Islamabad

Islamabad police have made elaborate security arrangements in the capital for Eid-ul-Azha to avoid any untoward situation, said Senior Superintendent Police (SSP), Islamabad on Saturday.
Talking to newsman, the SSP said, "security in the Federal Capital has been upgraded in the wake of upcoming Eid-ul-Azha and prevailing security situation."
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Tariq Mehmood Pirzada has directed the concerned departments to take precautionary measures to avoid any disturbance in the city on Eid-ul-Azha.
The police spokesman said that ICT police have made self-foolproof security arrangements and maintaining high alert.
The police would keep a watchful eye on the entire city and all strangers would be checked found wandering in the capital, he said.
Rescue 15 has been also directed to take steps to provide full security to houses, which would be vacant during Eid holidays, the spokesman informed.
