Exchange of teams to promote ties with India: Punjab chief minister

Punjabi language and exchange of delegations between two neighborly countries Pakistan and India will act as factor in promotion of relations between them.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Chief Minister of Punjab stated this in joint press conference addressed by him and Chief Minister of East Punjab Captain Sardar Amrindar Singh at State Guest House on Sunday.
Pervaiz speaking on the occasion showed optimism that talks held between President Pervaiz Musharraf and Indian Prime Minister will result in ushering an era of positive relations between both regional countries, he added.
Punjab Chief Minister stated referring to a warm welcome to Pakistani delegation visiting India recently said that an equal friendly response was also witnessed in the current tour of East Punjab cm, here.
Chief Minister Punjab said that by forming a united front in fight against poverty, disease, and other malice both the countries can benefits from moving at road to peace.' We can specifically cooperate in the field of agriculture and education and our education minister had a meeting with East Punjab counter part in this connection', he added.
Pervaiz also asked to hold games between players of provinces of Punjab on both sides. 'Matches in volleyball, swimming, wrestling and weightlifting should be held between both sides in this connection, he added.
Punjab Chief Minister presented an Arabian Horse Blue Bardys to Indian Chief Minister on the occasion. Amrindar Singh while inviting Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to visit East Punjab also presented a gift to Pervaiz Elahi on the occasion.
Earlier delegation from East Punjab visited shrine of Hazrat Mir Saheb. They also had a breakfast at resident of Punjabi Conference President Fakhar Zaman early on the day.
East Punjab Chief Minister Amrindar Singh addressing the press conference offered co-operation in agriculture. He stressed at visit of student delegations between two neighborly provinces. He highly appreciated love and affection showed to him in his visit to Punjab.
East Punjab Chief Minister stated that he had also invited Punjab Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) and Speaker Punjab Assembly Afzal Sahi to East Punjab during his visit.
Punjab Chief Minster Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi went to see of Captain Amrindar Singh and his delegation to Wagha Border direct from the State Guest House later on the day.
