Rs 200 million allocated for soft loans to businesswomen

The Punjab government has allocated Rs 200 million for providing soft loans to businesswomen in the province. The step has been taken for providing loan facilities to women engaged in business sector.
Official sources on Saturday told Business Recorder here that the purpose of this programme is provide solid footing to businesswomen to minimise financial problems as well as to enable them to establish new cottage industries and upgrade their existing industrial units.
A large number of women folk are already engaged in different business fields and are playing dominating role in readymade garments and fashion designing.
