ARD to launch weeklong anti-government drive from February 13

09 Feb, 2004

A country-wide weeklong protest movement will be launched against the 'humiliation' inflicted on the national heroes, from February 13.
A spokesman of the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) said that the alliance would launch the movement with the aim and theme of 'Save country, remove Musharraf'.
He said that all preparations have been finalised to make this move a success, and other opposition parties, outside the alliance, would also be asked to take part in the move.
"We will protest with full force to tell the dictator that the nation would not allow him to humiliate the national heroes who made the defence of the country impregnable," he added.
He said that the demand of the alliance is that the government should present Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and other nuclear scientists and KRL officials responsible for nuclear proliferation before the parliament and let that supreme body decide the fate of these people.
If the government failed to produce the scientists in the parliament the people would be asked to decide the fate of the government.
