A two-day 2nd International Nutrition Conference would be held at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences here from February 23.
This was stated by the Dean and Head of Animal Nutrition Department, Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha while talking to APP here on Sunday.
He said that the objective of the moot is to share experiences, scientific expertise, new ideas, achievement and update professionals in the discipline of human and animal nutrition.
He said that over 100 foreign experts and leading professionals will read their research papers in the field of nutrition.
Dr Talat said that around 400 Pakistani scientists, dietitians, technologists, teachers, scholars and nutritionists will also participate in the conference.
He said that the conference will help improve human nutrition and sustainable livestock and poultry production in Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan has vast potential and tremendous resources to export livestock and poultry products if modern techniques are adopted for their fast breeding on commercial scale.
He said that million of kilograms fresh milk could also be saved daily from sour and properly utilised same day.
Dr Talat said that inaugural session will follow four technical session comprising human nutrition, poultry nutrition, general animal nutrition and animal feed industry.
