Central president PML (Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain MNA has said that government has no plan to bring nuclear issue in the parliament. However, he said in case of raising the matter in the parliament it would be dealt with as per policy of the ruling party.
Talking to newsmen here at a local hotel after addressing a meeting of district presidents and general secretaries from NWFP, he said that the issue is sensitive and also urged on opposition to play their role with responsibility.
He added that he had played his role for two months to pull the country out of these crises.
Dispelling the propaganda regarding keeping Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali in darkness over matters of national security and interest, Shujaat said, "Jamali is well inform of the situation and he valuably contributes in matters of national security and interest including nuclear crises."
Replying a query regarding difficulties in the unification of the five factions of PML, the PML (Q) chief admitted the presence of some technical and constitutional hurdles in the way, however, he was sure that the issue would be resolved as per consensus among all the factions' leaders.
He said that the decision about expansion in cabinet had already been taken, but declined to disclose the new probable of the federal cabinet.
Earlier, while addressing the meeting of the party he declined to nominate new provincial president of the party in the province, saying that all such like decisions would be taken after the formal merger or unification of PML factions.
He urged upon the leaders of PML to bring unity in their ranks, so as to combat all the prevailing crises.
The PML leader paid a day long visit to Peshawar city and held several meetings with Governor NWFP Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, FATA Senator Mohammad Shah Afridi and Arbab Ayub Jan, provincial president of National Awami Party Pakistan.
