Rains dampen business activity in Lahore

Business activity in the Punjab metropolis was badly suffered by the daylong wet spell on Monday.
The rains, which started in the morning, continued till evening with breaks of only few minutes.
According to a wholesale dealer of Akbari Mandi, Monday's wet spell only aggravated the traditional post-Eid slump which usually grips city's whole sale markets every year.
Meanwhile, rains also affected the pre-Basant kite flying in the city.
The skies which remained covered with colourful kites on Sunday remained overcast all the day on Monday, keeping kite flyers away from their rooftops.
