Japan keen to invest in Karachi uplift projects

Japanese government has expressed its willingness to make investment in three mega projects of City District Government Karachi (CDGK) and provide interest-free loans in this respect, said a CDGK press release.
It stated that a five-member delegation of Mitsubishi Corporation met City Nazim Naimatullah Khan on Monday.
District Co-ordination Officer Mir Hussain Ali and Raeesuddin Paracha were also present at the occasion.
General Manager Mitsubishi Corporation Kazuki Miura told Naimatullah that the Japanese government was ready to take part in development projects of Karachi and provide interest-free loans.
The three projects, in which Japanese government will invest, pertains to provision of electricity from solid waste, transport system and reuse of industrial water.
The delegation told City Nazim that the Japanese government would also provide financial assistance to city government under Official Development Assistance.
