Supreme Court adjourns hearing in NAB case

The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned hearing on an appeal of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seeking early hearing in a NAB case against Zakim Khan, former engineer of Engineering Service.
Raja Bashir Ahmad, counsel for NAB, submitted before the court that the trial court had concluded its proceedings against the convict and the verdict had to be announced.
The Supreme Court has already granted stay in the case.
Raja Bashir advocate submitted that the counsel for Zakim Khan was using delaying tactics for prolonging the case as appellant had sought adjournment for the four consecutive times.
Earlier, advocate on record appearing on behalf of the appellant's counsel Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, sought general adjournment.
