Kasuri's remarks clarified

The Foreign Office has clarified the remarks made by Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri in a press conference on Monday.
The clarification said, "The Foreign Minister, Khurshid M. Kasuri", is quoted differently by various newspapers on the question of Osama bin Laden, with some newspapers giving sensational headlines.
In a press conference on February 23 he held jointly with the visiting Palestinian Foreign Minister Farouk Kaddoumi; Foreign Minister Kasuri was asked if Pakistan would hand over Osama bin Laden to the US if he was caught.
When asked about the exact response of the Foreign Minister, the Spokesman of the Foreign Office responded that, without going into specifics, the Foreign Minister had said that Pakistan had not changed its policy towards terrorists and their deportation to other countries.
His response was as follows: "If someone has committed crimes against any other country and is caught in an anti-terror operation, our priority is to hand him over to his country of origin. If that country does not ask for repatriation, then the terrorist are handed over to any country putting forward evidence to us.
