Sindh governor condemns killing of girls

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has condemned the killings of two innocent girls at a police station in Gadap Town.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, the governor said that as soon as he got the news, he immediately ordered the police high officials to reach the spot and start investigations.
He described non-registration of FIR in the matter a heinous crime under the Police Order 2000.
To a question, the governor said three investigation teams led by a senior superintendent of police have been constituted.
He said on his directive the concerned police officials have been arrested, kept in the police lock-up and an FIR registered against them.
Dr Ibad said compensation is no alternative to human lives. However, to express sympathies with the heirs of bereaved girls, Sindh government has immediately announced a compensation of Rs 0.2 million each for both the deceased girls.
Meanwhile, the burial of deceased girls took place at Memon Goth.
The two innocent girls were kidnapped on February 20 and their bodies were found from a room under police occupation at Gadap Police station.
