Vehicle stickers mandatory for processions

The city traffic police has directed that it would be mandatory for all vehicle owners to get stickers to display on windscreens to participate in any procession during Muharram.
The announcement has been made keeping in view the possible security threat in processions from Nishter Park to Hussania Iranian Imam Bargah, Kharadar on 8th, 9th and 10th of Muharram.
The stickers will be issued from February 26 to 29 (5 to 8 Muharram), from the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Traffic, Karachi (Security Branch) at Central Police Office (CPO).
The police also said that no stickers will be issued to any vehicle except Ambulance, Scout, Social Welfare Organisation, Sabils, Nazar and Niaz distributing vehicles or to any other emergency vehicles.
