An Indonesian court on Wednesday jailed the acting head of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) regional group for three-and-a-half years.
Abu Rusdan was found guilty of shielding key Bali bomber Mukhlas from justice.
Prosecutors had sought a nine-year sentence while the charge was punishable by up to 15 years under an anti-terror law.
Judge Mahmud Rahimi said Rusdan, who is also known as Thoriqudin, had been proven guilty "of intentionally providing facilities and hiding information on a crime of terrorism."
