LCCI delegation's visit to India welcomed

A number of trade bodies have termed ongoing visit of the delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to India as a right step in right direction which would help in acquiring knowledge to meet future challenges.
They also hailed the LCCI's leadership for giving due representation to traders in this delegation.
In a joint statement issued here on Friday, Paper Merchants Welfare Group President, Khamis Saeed Butt, LCCI Standing Committee on Cottage Industry Convenor, Ghulam Sarwar Malik, Traders Welfare Association Lahore President, Sheikh Liaquat Hussain and President Hide and Skin Importers Association, Tariq Masood Chaudhry said that visit by the LCCI's delegation to India was need of an hour.
They said that the delegation would study the Indian trade and economy from different aspects in order to meet the problems arising out after implementation of WTO and Safta agreements.
They urged upon the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and Ministries of Commerce and Foreign Affairs to fully assist the LCCI trade delegation to make the ongoing visit a successful one.
