Security tightened in Islamabad

Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and Islamabad police on Sunday jointly held a meeting to review security arrangements during Muharram.
The meeting, presided over by chief commissioner Islamabad Junaid Iqbal Chaudhry, discussed the measures to tighten security arrangements in Ashura days.
Deputy commissioner Islamabad Tariq Mahmood Pirzada told the meeting that the ICT and police have tightened security in the capital to secure lives and properties of the residents.
He also informed the meeting that foolproof security arrangements are insured around worship places to face any uncertain condition.
The chief commissioner Islamabad issued special instructions to the district administration and police regarding tight security on the 9 and 10 Muharram.
