The traders community is extending all out co-operation to the City District Government (CDG) for maintaining peace, while special arrangements have also been made by it to facilitate the participants of main Zuljinnah procession in the provincial metropolis.
The Qaumi Tajir Ittehad President told Business Recorder here on Monday that Traders Boards of different markets in walled city have been assigned special responsibility in this regard.
The office-bears of these boards, including Chaudhry Karam Ellahi, Haji Ghulam Mohyuddin and Hafiz Abdul Malik would supervise the arrangements while main Zuljinnah procession would be on route to Karbla-Gamey Shah.
The traders would also set up Sabeels of milk and sweet drinks on the route of main procession. However, the City District Government Lahore has not allowed anybody else to set up such Sabeels.
Lahore QTI President Khawaja Azhar Gulshan had already assured the District Nazim Lahore that traders would provide milk to the participants of main procession at different places of the main route on Ashura.
To a question, Mushtaq said that long standing issue of carrying out sales tax audit with the sales tax authorities has been amicably resolved.
After having been agreed, the sales tax officials are carrying out audit of shopkeepers at the offices of traders' associations in their respective markets, he added.
