Pesco chief for early completion of ongoing schemes

Chief Executive Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco), Brigadier Tahir Saeed has directed the officials of Peshawar circle to accelerate work on the developmental schemes to complete it in the scheduled time period.
The Pesco chief was talking during his visit to the circle on Thursday. The EXN Nadeem Anwar of the circle briefed the chief executive of the developmental work initiated in the area.
He told that work on 11 feeders and 96 HT have been completed at the cost of Rs 75 million during last eight months of the current financial year.
He said that the total length of the 11 feeders was 270 kilometre costing Rs 50 million while Rs 25 million has been spent on the HT projects.
The CE was informed that HT and LT lines on Saddar Road Peshawar have been shifted due to widening of the road and it would cost Rs 0.5 million. The scheme also included nine HT and 20 LT proposals.
The chief executive was told that the project would help control line losses in Peshawar Cantt.
He said that Rs three million have been spent on replacement of four LT and 77 HT poles on Sunehri Masjid Road and Fakhre Alam Road.
The project also included the replacement of 11 kilometre's long transmission line. The CE was told that work on all these schemes is continued and completion is expected by the end of the current month.
