Holiday in Karachi on March 13 to facilitate cricket lovers

Sindh Chief Minister Sardar Ali Mohammed Mahar has declared local holiday on March 13 (Saturday) to facilitate cricket lovers to watch one-day cricket match between India and Pakistan.
Mahar presided over a meeting on Friday to review arrangements being made to make the event successful.
He reviewed law and order arrangement and set up two committees to be headed by IGP, Sindh, Syed Kamal Shah and district co-ordination officer Mir Hussain Ali.
These committees would be mainly responsible for the maintenance of law and order in the city.
The chief minister has called upon the people to show their traditional hospitality to the visiting players, guests and the representatives of the media.
He said that the holiday on March 13 would also provide an opportunity to those who did not go to the stadium. People may relax at their homes and watch the match, he added.
The chief minister said that the National Stadium and its surroundings were being decorated to give a soothing effect to cricket lovers.
The National Stadium has a seating capacity of 33,000. Ample space is being provided for car parking.
Traffic arrangement for the day is also being chalked out.
