Japan International Co-operation Agency (Jica) has termed its co-ordination with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) highly result-oriented, claims a press release of the Authority issued here on Monday.
Kumagai Masato, Deputy Director, Senior Volunteers Division of JICA Tokyo, in a meeting with Chief Executive Officer Smeda, Shahab Khawaja, hoped that the collaboration between both the organisations would be helpful in upgrading various sectors of SMEs in Pakistan with regard to technology and management.
Masato was accompanied by JICA Islamabad's official, Suzuki Manabu and JICA Senior Volunteers.
The meeting discussed current status of JICA's Senior Volunteers programme in Pakistan and looked into the new avenues of enhancing future co-operation between Smeda and JICA in different SME sectors.
