Two arrested in land fraud cases

The NAB Punjab on Tuesday arrested two persons in Bucha Garden land fraud and obtaining pecuniary advantage.
Malik Mohammad Nasir s/o Mohammad Yousaf r/o House No 147, Jehanzeb Block, Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore, had fraudulently converted property comprising 212 kanals, 11 marlas worth Rs 17.5 million in Mohlanwal village, which was part of the notorious Bucha Gardens fraud, according to a press release issued by the NAB, Punjab.
The land had been entrusted to Imtiaz Elahi John, ex-vice-chairman, SCCCL without payment of any consideration and by preparing forged antedated sale deed registered on 21 May, 1990 in favour of the accused and two companions.
The NAB arrested Mohamamd Boota Shah s/o Ashiq Hussain Shah r/o Chak No. 201/RB, Faisalabad.
He had obtained pecuniary advantage worth Rs 0.91 million through fraud and deceitful means in connivance with Amjad Hussain Sadhal.
As per law, both the accused will be produced in Accountability Court tomorrow (March 10) for their physical remand.
