US legislators praise Pakistan's co-operation to IAEA

US Congressmen have praised the co-operation being offered by Pakistan to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in rolling up proliferation network.
They also lauded the firm support and co-operation being extended by Pakistan in the on-going global war on terror.
Congressmen Gregory Meekes and Shiela Lee Jackson of the Democratic Party observed this during separate meetings held by Ambassador Ashraf Jehangir Qazi with them at the Capitol Hill
During the meetings, Pak-US relations, war on terrorism, Pak-India relations and nuclear non-proliferation came up under discussion. Besides, a stable long-term Pak-US relationship, the situation in Afghanistan, as well as reforms package and socio-economic uplift in Pakistan and strengthening of the democratic process were also discussed.
The Congressmen particularly mentioned the firm commitment extended by President Pervez Musharraf in respect of war on terrorism.
Later, Ambassador Qazi held luncheon meeting with a delegation of the US Air War College, during which he spoke of US-Pakistan relations, India-Pakistan relations, domestic economic upward trend and nurturing of democratic moorings, and the appreciable co-operation being extended by Pakistan to IAEA.
