Performance auditing course concludes

The 54th International Intensive Training Course of Performance Auditing concluded here at the Audit and Training Institute, Directorate General of Performance Audit on Friday.
As many as 19 participants from the Supreme Audit Institutions of Oman, Botswana, Ghana, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Pakistan attended this course.
Speaking at the closing ceremony the Additional Auditor General of Pakistan, Ch Muhammad Ilyas said that the course of performance audit conducted by Pakistan Audit Department have international recognition and sound credibility of quality and specialised methodologies and some of the countries have requested to introduce and develop the audit training programme at their centres.
Pakistan has accepted requests of audit training from Japan and Ghana and the most experienced personnel would be sent to both the countries in near future, he added.
The Additional Auditor General said that strict financial discipline and economic regularities were emphasised as the main objective of all these training courses and the participants have benefited a lot in this regard.
Over one thousand participants from more than 56 countries have so far been trained during 54 audit training courses, he said.
He expressed the hope that these training courses would help promote the bonds of affection and love among the people of participating countries and also enhance their skills in the respective fields.
Earlier, the Director General, Performance Audit Wing, Allah Bukhsh Kalyar in his address of welcome highlighted the objectives of the training course.
In the end, certificates were distributed among the participants.
