Hashmi case hearing put off

An accountability Court (AC) on Friday put off the proceedings in a reference against acting President PML-N Javed Hashmi MNA to March 24 in order to record the statements of prosecution witnesses.
Earlier the court recorded the statement of one of the prosecution witnesses Saeed Ullah and special prosecutor cross-examined him.
The accused is facing the charges of corruption and making illegal money in excess of his income.
Meanwhile, another accountability court adjourned the proceedings in a reference against former bank employee Zubair Baig to March 26 after recording the statement of a prosecution witness.
The accused is facing the charges of embezzlement of millions of rupees. He is also facing the charges of corruption and preparing forged documents to withdraw the public money illegally.
Similarly, another accountability court adjourned the proceedings in a reference against Faisal Awan to March 27, a defaulter of Services Co-operative Society as his counsel did not appear before the court.
The accused is facing the charges of withdrawing money from the society by illegal way.
He is also facing the charges of preparing forged documents for withdrawing the money.
