Muttahida reshuffles elected hierarchy

Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Sunday took resignations from its three MNAs, while the portfolios of two provincial ministers and one advisor have also been either taken back or changed.
Besides, it has been decided to replace MNA Azizullah Brohi with the nomination of a party's Sindhi activist.
Head of the Muttahida's Co-ordination Committee, Anwar Alam, announced these decisions soon after the address of party chief Altaf Hussain to the general workers council.
Anwar Alam apprised that the co-ordination committee has taken the resignations from three MNAs - Azizullah Brohi, S.A. Khan and Sarkaruddin Advocate - while Azizullah Brohi would be replaced with a party's Sindhi activist.
He apprised that Azizullah Brohi tendered his resignation from the post due to his private engagements, while the portfolio of provincial advisor Noman Saigal, provincial minister Naeem Ishtiaq, provincial minister Rauf Siddiqui and federal minister Ahmed Ali have also been taken back.
He said that Qamar Mansoor would take over as provincial minister in place of Naeem Ishtiaq, while Noman Saigal would be replace with Naeem Ishtiaq. Syed Shakir Ali has been nominated for the excise and taxation ministry in place of Rauf Siddiqui. Babar Ghauri has been nominated as federal communication minister in place of Senator Ahmed Ali.
Earlier, addressing the general workers council, Muttahida chief Altaf Hussain said that party decided to make a change in the portfolios to get more better results and to check the capabilities of other party workers.
Altaf Hussain clarified that the resignations would not meant that there was any thing wrong, rather to give a chance to other people.
Meanwhile, Asif Siddiqui has returned from London to supervise MNAs, MPAs and Senators.
