Nigeria wants to buy 5,000 auto rickshaws

15 Mar, 2004

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has received a fax message from High Commission of Pakistan Abuja on Saturday.
We have approached by a business group for the supply of 5,000 motorcycle rickshaws. This group has been negotiating with two Indian parties, namely, the manufacturers of Bajaj and Goel brands, which have quoted Indian Rs 86,000 and Rs 79,000 respectively FOB for each rickshaw, presumably in CKD condition.
As my interlocutor is of Pakistani origin, we stand a good chance of getting this order if a competitive bid were to come from our side.
You may like to approach some interested parties to quote for the above. The time factor is important as the Nigerian side has a deadline to meet. It would be contacting us in a week's time.-PR
