London cocoa weakens on speculative selling

18 Mar, 2004

London cocoa prices weakened on Wednesday in a thin market pressured under speculative selling and with weaker CSCE futures eroding the upward momentum from the previous session, dealers said.
May closed 17 pounds lower at 830 pounds a tonne, having moved between 852-820 on 2,285 lots.
July shed 18 pounds at 846 on 998 lots out of total volume of 3,870 lots.
Prices had hit 28-month continuation lows near 800 earlier this month.
