The Capital Development Authority (CDA) board has approved a plan to rehabilitate around 189 victims of Bheka Saidan under which they would be allotted plots in two different sectors of Islamabad, Business Recorder reliably learnt here on Friday.
The CDA board met here on Thursday with Kamran Lashari in the chair to decide the longstanding demands of Bheka Saidan victims.
The board chairman directed the Land and Rehabilitation Directorate to immediately award plots measuring 25x50 and 35x70 to 189 residents of the village in sector F-11 and G-10 or G-11, official sources said.
CDA had acquired the land of Bheka Saidan in 1982, 1985 and 1986 to develop 'F' sector in Islamabad.
The civic body had already compensated the victims of Bheka Saidan and also allotted them plots.
Most of them had already received cash awards and plots against their properties, official sources said, adding that they were accommodated in F-11/1, 2 and 3 respectively.
The plots were given on the basis of built up property (BUP) formula.
