PML workers urged to forge unity

The convener of the Organising Committee of the Pakistan Muslim League Sindh, Senator Nisar Ahmed Memon, has called upon the party workers to forge unity in their ranks and counter the misinformation being created by the opposition against the present government.
"The present government under the dynamic leadership of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali is striving hard for amelioration of the lot of common man by providing them maximum facilities at their doorsteps," he said.
Nisar Memon, who is also the Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Water Resources, was addressing the party workers during a short stay at the farm of senior party leader Syed Shahabuddin Shah Al-Hussaini at Matiari on Friday.
Earlier, on his arrival at Hyderabad Toll Plaza, the party workers, led by Syed Shahabuddin Shah and other party leaders, gave a warm welcome to Nisar Memon and brought him to Matiari at the head of a big motorcade.
Senator Nisar said the government has initiated a number of measures for rapid development in various sectors so that common men could get relief and their socio-economic conditions improved.
He criticised the opposition's role and said they have no ground for carrying out anti-government agitation.
"The present government fully believes in democratic principles and norms and is striving to strengthen democracy in the country," he said and advised the opposition to give up policy of criticism only for the sake of criticism.
He said: "President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali are striving to make the country stronger in every field and their policies have also been acknowledged by foreign countries and their leaders."
Referring to the PML affairs, Senator Nisar Memon vowed to further strengthen the party in Sindh.
He called upon the party workers to carry the party message to every nook and corner and inform the people about the measures being taken by the present government for their welfare He assured that the workers would get due respect and their all genuine problems would be solved on priority basis.
