Developed nations urged to transfer resources

International Commission on the Globalisation of Economy and Social Dimension has urged the developed countries to transfer the real resources to the developing countries by waiving off the high debt liabilities of the third world countries.
This was stated by General Secretary Pakistan Workers Confederation, Khurshid Ahmed at a press conference here on Friday.
President of the confederation, Chaudhry Talib Nawaz and Treasurer Amin Rathore were also present on the occasion.
He said that the commission headed by the Presidents of Finland and Tanzania, advised the developed countries to open their market and reduce unfair barrier to market access.
He said that developing countries should be permitted to adopt a cautious and gradual approach capital account liberalisation and move social sensitive adjustment measure in response to crises.
The commission also urged all the nations to respect the principle of international labour standard - for exercising fundamental rights of the workers such as freedom of association, collective bargaining, develop "social dialogue machinery effectively".
