Local pharma companies urged to compete with MNCs

The NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has said that we would not go against our claim for people-oriented planning and welfare activities that is against what the previous rulers planned in the province.
The misrule of the previous rulers brought a curse of corruption, irregularities and mismanagement and all this was because of their self-centered policies.
They planned but for their own whims. They did what their own interest guided them to do and they reinforced a new culture that was a culture of corruption, irregularities and simply that was an ill planning.
He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating injectable plant at the Cardex Pharmaceutical Factory here at Industrial Estate Hayatabad on Thursday.
Secretary Information of MMA Haji Jalil Jan and MMA local leader Shams-ur-Rahman Shami were also present on the occasion.
The chief minister said that the present government believed in uniformed development of the province and preference has been given to those areas, which had been kept backward by the previous governments.
He also referred to the uplift package for Kohistan district.
The chief minister said good governance and people friendly policies of the present government proved that anti MMA propaganda was baseless.
He further said that they will not compromise on the provincial rights and added that Shariah implementation is the goal of the MMA.
He appreciated the establishment of modern pharmaceutical factory and termed a good omen for industrialisation in NWFP.
He said that owing to exemplary law and order, the investment flow into the NWFP has started.
He stressed the pharmaceutical companies to compete with the multinational companies (MNCs) and give relief to the masses by offering quality medicines with low cost.
