Pakistani squad for last two one-dayers

20 Mar, 2004

Pakistan kept faith in their winning 15-man squad for the last two one-day matches in Lahore, the selectors announced on Friday.
"We are happy that the team is gelling well and that's why we feel the same players should stay," chief selector Wasim Bari told AFP.
Pakistan, who lost the first match in Karachi by five runs, hit back to win the second at Rawalpindi by 12 runs and the third at Peshawar on Friday by four wickets.
The 2-1 lead in the five-match series gave the hosts the edge going into the remaining two games under lights at Lahore's Gaddafi stadium on Sunday and Wednesday.
Bari, however, said Pakistan still needed to sort out some weak areas if the series was to be won.
"We concede too many wides and no-balls," he said. "The bowlers also must improve their line and length and the lower order batsmen have to score runs."
Pakistan sent down 23 wides and four no-balls on Friday.
