Maruti Udyog Ltd, India's largest carmaker, plans to hike prices to offset higher raw material costs, mainly steel, a company official said on Sunday.

The official did not reveal the extent of the planned hike, but said rising costs of steel and other raw materials had forced the company to take this action.
