Seven killed, 21 hurt as wagon dashes against tree

Seven persons, including two women were killed, while 21 sustained injuries when a wagon dashed against a road-side tree near Mansoor Wali some 12-km away from here on Thursday.
The injured have been rushed to the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital, the Civil Hospital, Wazirabad, and the Mayo Hospital, Lahore. The wagon driver made his good escape from the scene.
Reportedly, a Toyota passenger wagon TS-3786 which was on its way dashed against a road-side tree when its driver lost control over steering while saving a passer-by.
People from the surrounding area gathered and provided rescue work besides shifting injured to hospitals.
Those who have been killed in the accident are identified as Irfan Haider, Kubra Bibi, Kaneez Bibi, Arif, Jalil, two unknown persons. The injured are Zubaida, Irshad, Fayyaz, Zohra, Mohammad Ashraf, Mudassar Iqbal, Nasim Bibi, Najma, Sara, Sarfraz, Naveed Ali, Khalid Mansoor, Zahida, Hameeda Begum, Naila, Irshad, Imtiaz, Nadeem Mustafa, Adnan, etc.
The Ahmad Nagar police have registered a case, but failed to arrest absconding wagon driver.
