JMDC student gets third position in MBBS exams

Nasreen Mohammed Saleem of the Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC) secured an overall third position in the merit list of MBBS First Professional (Part-A) annual examinations, 2004. As many as 650 students of the affiliated medical institutions appeared at the examinations, conducted by the Karachi University.
The Jinnah Medical and Dental College awarded a cash prize of Rs 15,000 to Nasreen for her commendable achievement.
Dr Azhar Hussain, dean, Jinnah Medical and Dental College, said: "It is indeed a great achievement to attain a position in the Karachi University exams where our students compete with other medical institutes.
The JMDC students have shown great commitment and improvement in their academic work over the years".
Nasreen Mohammed Saleem commenting on her success, said: "After Allah Almighty, I can attribute my success to the support and encouragement extended to me by my teachers at the JMDC.
I take great pride in this accomplishment, and view this as a stepping stone to future successes."
The Jinnah Medical and Dental College established in 1997, started its classes for first MBBS batch in 1998 and first BDS batch in 1999.
Since its establishment, a number of its students secured positions in examinations conducted by the Karachi University. The first batch of MBBS and BDS doctors graduated in 2003.
