There would be absolutely no compromise on the misuse of powers and excesses and high-handedness committed to the general public by the police officials because the establishment of District Public Safety Commission was itself a challenge for its members for achieving the desired objectives.
This was stated by the Chairman District Public Safety Commission, Faisalabad, Mian Muhammad Latif, while addressing the police officers, SDPOs and SHOs of the police stations of Faisalabad district here on Friday.
DPO Capt. Muhammad Amin Waince, (Retd), Additional SP Muhammad Idrees, SP (Traffic) Malik Abdul Aziz and other police officers besides members of the District Public Safety Commission, Mian Muhammad Hanif, Mian Maqbool Ahmad, Wing Commander Amanullah Khan Bloch, Malik Ashfaq Ahmad Awan, Rana Mahmood Akhtar Khan, Mrs Sakeena Chaudhry, Secretary Malik Zafar Javed and other concerned persons were also present on this occasion.
Mian Muhammad Latif said that under the new order, the police had got a new dimension of its responsibilities the objective of which was to ensure the eradication of crimes and redress the peoples' grievances by bridging the gap between the public and the police with mutual co-operation and in an effective manner.
He said that when the police committed injustice with the people by going beyond the limits of law it created problems and complaints.
CONCERTED SRATEGY: He said that a co-ordinated and concerted strategy was utmost necessary to be adopted for improving such undesirable situations.
He said that the members of the Commission, contrary to their personal wish or desire, would perform their collective duties honestly, neutrally and in a transparent manner restricting themselves to the powers delegated to them.
He said that the public complaints were being forwarded to the DPO for investigation of the facts after thoroughly reviewing the same according to the prescribed procedure and further action would be taken in the light of the fact-finding report of the DPO.
He asked the police officials to extend maximum possible co-operation in that regard so that the mission of the present government aimed at the improvement of police department, redress of peoples' grievances and quick provision of justice could be successfully carried forward.

chairman DPSC Mian Muhammad Latif for having been awarded with the "Tamgha-e-lmtiaz" from the government of Pakistan and said that this honour was in recognition of meritorious services rendered by him and it was not only a pride for the people of Faisalabad but also for the people of Toba Tek Singh.
He said that the establishment of District Public Safety
Commission was in the best interest of the people, which would not only utilise its powers for redressing the peoples' grievances but would also help the police department for solving its problems and thus the good and bad both sides of the police would become visible on this forum.
SPECIAL CELL: He said that the references received from the DPSC would be sent to a special cell set up in his office for quick action where responsible and capable officers were performing their duties and efforts would be made to dispose of all the references immediately.
He directed all of his subordinate staff to perform their duties with responsibility and special attention. He also briefed the meeting about the details of implementation of "Anti-Crime Network" in the district.
