Shaukat and Humayun to visit US in April

Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz would undertake a five-day visit of the United States from April 22.
According to the official sources, he, along with the Governor of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), would represent Pakistan at the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB).
He is scheduled to hold meetings with State Allan Larson's Under Secretary and meet World Bank President James D. Wolfensohn and IMF Managing Director Horst Kohler, sources said.
Shaukat Aziz is also likely to meet Treasury Secretary John Snow, EXIM (Export -Import) Bank's Chairman Phillip Merrill, and United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) administrator Andrew Natsios.
While in New York, the Finance Minister would speak at a meeting of the economic and social committee at the United Nations.
Meanwhile, during the annual spring meetings of the World Bank and IMFC, he would also hold bilateral meetings with the delegates from other friendly countries.
The Federal Commerce Minister, Humayun Akhtar Khan is also scheduled to arrive here on April 12 on a six-day visit, according to the sources.
