Pakistani community can obtain their visas and passports by sending their applications in pre-paid self-addressed envelopes to the Pakistan High Commission.
The postal applications procedure for visa takes 14 to 16 days provided error-free application forms, two photographs, original passport, appropriate fee in the form of postal order payable to the Pakistan High Commission and a prepaid self-addressed envelope are sent to the Visa Section, Pakistan High Commission, 34 Lowndes Square, London SWIX 9JN, said a news release of the High Commission.
The fee for urgent passport is 78 Sterling Pounds while for an ordinary passport the fee is 30 Pounds.
Dual national Pakistanis should send a copy of their expired Pakistani passports along with their visa applications. Applicants, who do not have their Pakistani passports, can send a copy of one of their parent's passports and their own birth certificate to avail of concessional visa rates.
Dual national aged 18 or above are charged and those below 18 years are charged for single entry visas.
The postal applications procedure for passports also takes 14 to 18 days and the applicants are required to send completely filled in application forms, expired passports, three photographs and appropriate fee in the form of postal order payable to Pakistan High Commission in a pre-paid self-addressed envelope.
It may be noted that lost passport/travel document applicants are required to appear in person at the High Commission, it said.
