The alliance of Kashmiri freedom fighting organisations on Saturday urged the Kashmiris to boycott the coming Indian elections in occupied Kashmir.
In an appeal to the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir for complete boycott of the polls for the lower house of India, Salahuddin, chief of United Jihad Council, in a statement issued here urged the people of occupied Kashmir, to uphold the sacrifices which have been and are still being offered for liberation from Indian subjugation, to not to participate in the farce Indian elections.
"Through these polls, India wants to show to the world that Kashmir is its integral part and that the people of Kashmir are abiding by the Indian Constitution," Salahuddin said.
He said, "The ground realities in occupied Kashmir defiantly signed that the Kashmiris want to rid themselves of Indian occupation and have rendered sacrifices of over 500,000 lives since partition of subcontinent (in 1947) for the very purpose."
He asked government employees to boycott any election activities.
He accused the pro-India Kashmiri groups of sabotaging the liberation struggle for personnel interests. "Those who support the so-called Lok Sabha polls are in fact out to sabotage the freedom struggle and back stab the Kashmiris," Salahuddin said.
"These people would never be forgiven, neither by the Kashmiris nor by the history," he said.
