04 Apr, 2004

Two new blocks have been added to the Civil Hospital at Thatta. These blocks house the Medical Emergency Unit and the Accident Emergency Unit as a result of which the handling of various urgent cases requiring medical attention, aid and immediate treatment has improved in the hospital.
Various improvements in the Thatta Civil Hospital have been carried out under the direct supervision of the Civil Surgeon, Dr Lal Mir Shah Shirazi. All development works at the hospital have been expedited under his guidance.
A dormitory for patients coming from outside Thatta and requiring stay facilities is also under construction.
It will function as a 'Musafir Khana' and provide patients from outside Thatta place for stay for short periods.
Patients in the hospital told that the political interference in the administration and working of the hospital, which was prominent in the past, is now completely eliminated.
This was the reason why various development works are making good progress at the hospital. Patients have lauded the improvements effected under the supervision of Dr Lal Mir Shah.
