RCCI urges businessmen to prepare for future challenges

President, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Hussain Ahmed Ozgen has called upon the business community to ensure positive and full co-operation in chamber's activities for the uplift of the trade and commerce activities in the region so that the community could prepared itself for the future challenges regarding WTO and SAFTA, beside solution of tax problems.
He was addressing a special meeting with the representatives of different trade associations and unions here in chamber office on Saturday.
RCCI chief while expressing his views said, being the senior most chamber of the country, RCCI always played an active role for the betterment of business community and enhancement of trade activities in this region as well at national level.
He said that it is a matter of great pride and honour for Rawalpindi Chamber that its efforts for the promotion of trade and commerce activities were appreciated not only on national level but also on international level. He further mentioned that chamber achieved this recognition because of full support and co-operation by business community of the area.
Hussain Ozgen said that business community in general and manufacturers and industrialists in particular had to prepare themselves for further challenges, which needs hard word, devotion and zeal to the respective cause. In this regard, he said the chamber organised seminars and workshops on important issues to impart proper know how about the issues, which business community confronting with.
This is quite satisfactory that the chamber has rightly achieved its target by arranging fruitful discussions and training courses, he added.
He asked the traders to give suggestions and proposals regarding the projects launched by the business community so that the chamber could make them more proper and effective.
