War veteran passes away

Air Vice Marshal Abdul Masood Khan, 1965 war veteran, died in USA on Saturday.
According to a press release of Pakistan Air Force his burial is tentatively planned for April 7 at Islamabad. He left behind a widow and three children.
During 1965 war, Air Vice Marshal Abdul Masood Khan then Squadron Leader, flew many special missions in a transport aircraft over an important enemy airfield and succeeded in penetrating the enemy's concentrated radar defences to accomplish the missions.
He was very daring pilot and displayed great skill, determination, professional ability and courage. On his valour, he was awarded Sitara-i-Juraat by the Government of Pakistan.
Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat, Chief of the Air Staff has expressed great sorrow and grief on death of the Air Vice Marshal Abdul Masood Khan.
