Punjab Anti-Corruption Director Brigadier Aslam Ghumman (Retd) has said that a vigilance wing was being established in the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) to purge this department of black sheep, and it would be made the Establishment in real shape, while it was doing work like anti-corruption in past.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday Brigadier Ghumman said this department had helped in encouraging the corrupt, dishonest and bad reputed elements and never discouraged the complainants and honest persons, adding this department was being decentralised and deputy directors are being appointed at the district level because now status of the division has been ended with the introduction of district governments.
Earlier, a circle inspector was posted in each district, and only the Multan Division was controlling the monitoring the business of 13 districts of Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions, he added.
He also said all the employees, who have been posted for the last four years at one station would be transferred to other stations, and sending of challan of every case to the courts would be mandatory.
Later, he reviewed the pace of disposal of cases and inquiries at a meeting of the staff members.
